SQE2 Preparation Course Online

This course is designed to prepare you for the SQE2 assessments by developing the six core practical legal skills required over five modules:

• Oral Skills including client interviewing
• Wills including case matter analysis
• Property including legal writing
• Business including legal research
• Criminal including advocacy and legal drafting 

Flexible Study Options

• Full-time: Six units per week

• Part-time: Two units per week

You’ll gain hands-on experience through practice assessments and expert feedback to enhance your skills and confidence. This course also supports your readiness for Qualifying Work Experience (QWE).

Comprehensive Study Tools
Students receive full access to the ULaw SQE Revision App, designed to prepare and embed your Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK), ensuring you’re ready for the SQE2 assessments.

What to Expect in the SQE2 Assessments
The SQE2 assessments consist of approximately 14 hours of practical skills testing over five half days, with 16 written and oral tasks across the following skills:

• Client interviewing (including linked attendance note/legal analysis)

• Advocacy

• Case and matter analysis (including negotiation planning)

• Legal research

• Legal writing

• Legal drafting

The tasks are set in key practice areas:

• Criminal Practice (e.g., advising clients at the police station)

• Dispute Resolution

• Property Practice

• Wills and Intestacy, Probate Administration and Practice

• Business Organisations, Rules and Procedures (including money laundering and financial services)
